The United States has faced existential crises before and it must do so again.

1775

1989

1775 - 1783

Foundations of Liberty

Americans fight and win the Revolutionary War against an oppressive English monarchy and establish a beacon of freedom for the entire world.

1787 - 1801

The Difficult Task of Governance

With the American Revolution won, the Founders turn to the even more difficult task of creating a system that would please the numerous factions in a geographically large and diverse Republic. The Constitutional Convention is held in Philadelphia and the United States Constitution is born. The Bill of Rights soon follows. Then, Americans prove their system works when the first peaceful transition of power between opposed parties occurs in 1801.

1861 - 1865

Battle Cry of Freedom

The Union fights and wins the American Civil War, in the process freeing 4 million people from enslavement.

1914 - 1918

The World Made Safe for Democracy

As World War I rages across Europe, the United States initially largely supports neutrality. However, after unrestricted submarine warfare by the Germans leads to the sinking of the RMS Lusitania and US merchant vessels, the United States finally joins the fray to protect the democracies of Europe against Germany. 10,000 fresh American troops known as “Doughboys” arrive in Europe every single day and secure a victory for democracy in the Great War.

1941 - 1945

Allies vs. Axis

Attacked by Imperial Japan, the United States fights and wins World War II in Europe and the Pacific, saving the world from plunging into darkness and tyranny.

1954-1968

America has a Dream

The United States once again looks inward. Through internal struggle the Civil Rights Movement makes a more perfect union for all people regardless of race, creed, or color. America reaffirms the rights of all people to gather, protest, vote, and have equal protection under the law.

2001 - 2021

Digital Age Tyranny

With the dramatic expansion of technology, both the Executive branch’s agencies and private Big Tech run amok while Congress stands by and plays politics. Each day Americans are more surveilled, more controlled, and have less liberties than they did the day before. Americans’ rights to gather, protest, speak both online and in person, worship, arm themselves, and be free from search or seizure are at risk of further erosion.

2021-Present

Enough is Enough

Rather than sit back and watch as Americans rights are slowly taken away, the National Constitutional Law Union is formed to fight for the liberties of the common citizen, with the courtroom as the battleground. Taking on corporate goliaths and the ever-expanding federal government, the NCLU, supported by the citizenry, stands up and says, “Enough is Enough.”
